How We Work
Genesis Africa runs like a studio collective: writers, developers, and promo/KOL leads working together on shared outcomes.
Daily rhythm
We host group sessions every day on Discord:
- Discuss topics trending in Web3 and Africa
- Plan content: blogs, threads, videos, event recaps
- Unblock each other on active builds
- Review grant and hackathon opportunities
- Assign work across dev, writing, and promo tracks
Sessions are open to all members. Show up, contribute, ship.
Roles in the collective

Projects & funding
We apply for grants and enter hackathons as a collective, not as scattered individuals.
Ideate together
Members pitch ideas in Discord and governance votes.
Form a squad
Mix of devs, writers, and promo aligned to the project.
Ship & document
Build the product, publish content, and grow reach in parallel.
Submit & iterate
Apply to grants and hackathons with a unified collective story.
Distribute on-chain
When grants pay out, every eligible member receives an equal on-chain token cut, plus NFT awards where applicable.
On-chain rewards
Grant and hackathon winnings are not split behind closed doors. We distribute through equal token cuts, on-chain memberships, and NFT awards so every eligible member gets the same share from the member pool.

Events
We run online and in-person meetups: AMAs, build days, watch parties, and regional gatherings as country groups grow.
Standards
- No recycled content: writers produce original work
- No empty metrics: we measure real engagement and shipped code
- Execution over noise: if it doesn't ship or doesn't teach, it doesn't lead
